From classical ensembles and symphonies to bluegrass and cowboy poetry, there's music in these mountains.

Durango has a lively and varied performing arts and music scene. Set against the backdrop of the San Juan and La Plata Mountains, some of Durango's noteworthy attractions include the Bar D Chuckwagon Dinner Show and the Diamond Circle Melodrama and Vaudeville Theater.

Annual events include the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown in April and the Durango Cowboy Gathering in October, Music in the Mountains and Music on Main throughout the summer, and an endless array of concerts and live performances at the Fort Lewis College Community Concert Hall.
